Facilities at the old terminal building were provided for severe weather detection and related thunderstorm formation research at the Monroe County Airport. We will always be grateful for the fine support from the City of Bloomington, Indiana.

Brad Younger installs the mount and atmospheric sensor head at the top of the tower.

The sensor head is installed in a Rayflector SRS-800 solar shield. The shield houses a high resolution barometer, platinum RTD air temperature sensor, relative humidity sensor, and signal conditioning electronics.
